Conditions for
General Membership
An applicant for membership of the Union must meet the following conditions :
- To be a trainer specialized in one of the different training specialties
- He must be at least 22 years old
- He must be of good conduct and have not been previously convicted on charges of breaching honor and honesty, unless he is rehabilitated
- He must have a training of trainer’s certificate from a recognized body and a practitioner of training. Or he has a higher scientific qualification in training. Or he has experience and practice for training. The internal regulations regulate the process of determining the years of experience required.
- An applicant for membership must obtain a recommendation from a member of the Union
- In addition to the previous conditions, the active member is required to be an international trainer who has provided training programs outside his country of origin.
Membership Types

FELLOW MEMBER (Designated as “Fellow- IUPT” )
This is the highest level of membership, which recognizes training professionals who have made a substantial contribution to and have a record of achievement in the practice of training internationally and will continue to contribute significantly to the profession. Fellow is our highest grade of membership and is designed for those who have a significant level of experience in a senior role. IUPT Fellows are highly respected professionals, having reached a level of demonstrable professional excellence and achievement in international training.

CERTIFIED MEMBER (Designated as “IUPT- Certified)
Certified memberships are for individual trainers carrying out a professional practice offering training services for clients and are certified as a competent trainer of good standing and quality. They are professional trainers who are making significant technical and/or practical contributions to the training profession.

ASSOCIATE MEMBER (Designated as “IUPT-Member”)
An associate member is considered a trainer but does not have extensive and broad training experience yet but supports the objectives of the Union. This category of membership is for those who has started in training, who may not be practicing the profession as a professional trainer or who have not yet reached the criteria for Certified membership.

PROVISIONAL MEMBER (NO DESIGNATION)
A provisional member has an interest in the training profession but does not have ANY training experience yet but supports the objectives of the Union. This category of membership is for those with an interest in training, who are not practicing the profession yet, or who have not yet reached the criteria for Associate membership.

INSTITUTIONAL MEMBER
This membership classification provides the opportunity for a company or organization to support the activities of IUPT and at the same time benefit from a variety of services and recognition. Institutional members are non-voting members.

OBSERVER
International organizations, single entities, and non-members have the right to apply for Observers. Observer status is a privilege granted by some organizations to non-members to give them an ability to participate in the Union’s activities. Observers generally have a limited ability to participate in the Union’s functions, and also lacking the ability to vote or propose resolutions.

HONORARY LIFE MEMBER
Honorary membership is conferred by the Board of Trustees on those individuals who have demonstrated exceptional service to the training profession. The Honorary Life Membership recognizes IUPT members or non-members training professional for their dedication to the high ideals and objectives of the training profession or/ and for their dedicated service to the Union. The purpose of the Honorary Life Membership is to honor an individual who has made significant contributions to the development and growth of the training profession.
Membership demise
The membership status of a member ceases for one of the following reasons:
1. Death
2. Disqualification
3. Submitting the resignation and accepting it
4. The member’s failure to abide by the duties of membership
5. The member commits any of the basic violations mentioned in the articles of Union
6. The member committing any crime punishable by law or violating the laws of the country in which he lives
7. By a reasoned decision of the General Assembly

Membership rights and duties
The membership status of a member ceases for one of the following reasons:
1. All members of the Union have the right to attend general assembly meetings, vote on its decisions, and express opinions and proposals in the debate
2. Union members are equal in rights and duties as determined by the articles of Union. The internal regulations are approved by the Union Generality.
3. Only active members have the right to run for the Board of Directors
4. All members have the right to benefit from the activities and services of the Union and to submit proposals and recommendations in this regard, according to what is organized by the internal regulations
5. The Union shall defend its members in obtaining their rights related to training and in accordance with the laws Applicable in every state.
6. The member has the right to request assistance when needed, and the internal regulations specify the type of the assistance. And how to approve it.
7. Any other rights that the General Assembly considers and approved by the Board of Trustees Membership duties
An Union member must adhere to the following duties
1. Belief in the Union’s goals and work to achieve them and preserve its property and tools
2. Executing the tasks assigned to him by the General Assembly or the Board of Directors
3. Attending any meeting or participation that may be called to by the general assembly, the Board of Directors, or the board of trustees
4. Comply with the provisions of the Union’s Articles of Union and its implementing regulations and the provisions of the law when performing any tasks or actions within the framework of the Union’s activities.
5. Pay the membership fees and subscriptions due on him to the Union on time
It is not permissible for any member of the Union or any of its components to harness the Union’s activities, resources, or property, directly or indirectly, for a personal benefit or for propaganda or political purposes.

1) There will be a one-time registration fee of USD 50 applicable for all categories.
